Onçafari & Caiman Ecological Refuge

This organization promotes the environmental conservation and socioeconomic development of some sectors of the Pantanal by means of ecotourism and scientific research. It is present in the region of Pantanal Sul Mato Grossense mainly protecting Onça-Pintada.

This project aims to preserve more than 5,600 hectares of Caiman Ecological Refuge with all their fauna and flora. A great variety of species inhabit this area and the project is supervised by investigators from the Univesity of Sao Paulo.
