Jason Lara, a native Boqueteño, is an experienced, friendly, professional guide who speaks excellent Spanish and English. His guided trips are infused with local lore and history, and convey a deep knowledge of the geography, industries and wildlife of Western Panamá.
He is mentioned among the best guides of Boquete region. He has accumulated knowledge and experience because he has been in the guide business since Boquete’s beginning as a tourist destination.
First, he mastered information about Panamá’s coffee industry, as well as the history and geography of the province. Then he turned his attention to birding. He has been fortunate to receive transferred knowledge from Panamá’s leading bird guides, such as Santiago Caballero (now retired).
