For those with limited time in Uganda who are primarily interested in chimp trekking, gorillas, and a little amount of wildlife, this 8-day primates and wildlife safari is ideal. This journey begins in Entebbe, and it will take you around six hours to drive to Kibale Forest National Park, including a lunch break in Fort Portal. Kibale Forest National Park is well-known for its chimpanzee tracking among its 13 primate species. Other primates that live there include grey-cheeked mangabeys, colobus and L’Hoest’s monkeys, and others. In addition to the well-known Kazinga Channel Cruise, Queen Elizabeth National Park offers wildlife drives in the northern Kasenyi Plains and the southern Ishasha, which is known for its tree-climbing lions.
There are four recognized places in Bwindi National Park for gorilla tracking: Nkuringo, Rushaga, Ruhijja, and Buhoma. A total of eighteen habituated gorilla families can be followed daily. The only savannah park that offers safari walks is Lake Mburo National Park, which is also the smallest. Large herds of zebras, buffalo, impalas, giraffes, warthogs, and waterbucks are among the many species that can be seen here. During the two-hour boat ride, other wildlife can be observed as well, such as crocodiles, hippos, and various birds like the spectacular Fish Eagles and the colorful Kingfishers.

Enjojo Lodge
Welcome to Enjojo Lodge, a hidden gem in a magnificent African wilderness!
The birth of a baby elephant on the land during the construction of the lodge led to the name ‘Enjojo Lodge’, which means ‘elephant’ in the local Rukiga language.
Bordering the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, we offer a relaxed and comfortable retreat on 40 hectares of land in the middle of an acacia forest, scattered grassland, and lush vegetation with palm trees.
From the grass-thatched restaurant and bar, you can enjoy our homemade food from our own organic garden while viewing the scenic beauty of a small natural lake. Big herds of elephants, buffaloes and antelopes are regular visitors to the lodge while vervet monkeys, baboons and black and white colobus have become residents. Not to forget the abundant birdlife, which makes Enjojo a dream environment for birders!
The lodge is entirely solar powered and constructed with local materials to blend in with the surrounding environment. Most of the furniture and decoration have been hand-crafted by the local community.
