Today your trip will take you to the north of the country to reach La Fortuna, a town located at the foot of the Arenal volcano.
Costa Rica is known to shelter about 116 volcanoes among them and surely one of the most impressive the Arenal volcano. Despite its age of 7,500 years, it is the youngest volcano in the country. Culminating at 1,630 meters, this stratovolcano is no longer active since the end of 2010 but it is a delight for photographers (when it is uncovered) as well as for “amateurs” or “afficionados” of thermal waters.
Lunch on the way.
