Marco is a nature-passionate individual who feels incredibly blessed to have been born and raised in a place he fondly refers to as "a piece of heaven," also known as Madeira Island. After being away for 15 years, he answered the call of the island, embracing a larger purpose: to promote, preserve, and perpetuate Madeira's unique ecosystem and its 600 years of singular traditions and customs. This UNESCO World Heritage Site faces serious challenges due to emigration and a declining interest in agriculture in a region heavily reliant on tourism. Since then, he has been guiding and touring guests around the island while actively engaging in sustainable farming practices passed down through generations.
His deep-rooted connection to Madeira and his passion for sharing its beauty and culture make him an exceptional guide. Fluent in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, with a basic knowledge of French, Marco is able to connect with a diverse range of visitors.
